A pregnancy brings along some big changes to your life. From the very first day, your body is the source of life for your child. Therefore, pregnant women’s daily requirements of nutrients are higher, and sometimes, twice as high.

Eating better is more important than eating more. The need for calories during pregnancy is not much higher than before. What your body needs now are mainly micronutrients – vitamins, minerals and trace elements.

Additional daily requirements in pregnancy
