The good news is that many children only suffer from a mild form of the disease. For this moderate form, often referred to as ‘sensitive, dry skin’, the so-called ‘basic therapy’ is used. This involves regular skin care with particularly suitable products, which supply the skin with valuable ingredients and above all moisture.
For many patients with mild neurodermatitis and for people with skin that is prone to neurodermatitis, care products that have been especially developed for people with neurodermatitis (pharmacy products) are not necessarily needed. As a rule, regular products are also suitable. Their compatibility should be dermatologically proven. Ideally these care products should not contain any substances that frequently trigger allergies. It is best to seek the advice of your dermatologist in this matter.
