Diet Plan: From the 10th to the 12th month*

Breast milk – for as long as you and your child is comfortable

* Start with weaning food according to your baby’s development and begin after the 4th month at the earliest and after the 6th month at the latest.

Is the baby now allowed to eat the same things as grown-ups? Not quite. Children’s food should be less strongly seasoned, easy to digest and prepared simply. You can, however, start to offer some kinds of family food. The little gourmets will be delighted by the great variety on offer.

Early morning: Milk remains the ideal first meal of the day for your child. Breastfeed or prepare some HiPP 2 Follow-on Milk. From the 12th month, HiPP 3 Junior Growing-up Milk is ideal as a milk drink for breakfast or with muesli.

Your child fancies a bit of bread already? A piece of bread with HiPP 2 Follow-on Milk or HiPP 3 Growing-up Milk in a cup makes a complete breakfast.

Late morning: It is best to carry on giving your child cereal-fruit pap later in the morning. HiPP Fruit, Fruit & Yogurt are practical snacks to have in between meals.

Lunchtime: Menues from the 10th or 12th month with small chunks provide everything that your baby needs for a healthy meal at lunchtime. Have you already tried a vegetarian menu, or a fish menu?

Afternoon: As something in between meals in the afternoon, you can continue to offer cereal-fruit pap. Your child may also enjoy a few biscuits or rice cakes every now and then.

In the evening: Good Night Paps or Milk Paps to mix yourself are delicious evening meals. Prefer to have some of what everyone else is eating? Then try a piece of bread together with HiPP Growing-up Milk in a cup.

Important: Now you do not need a bottle anymore, your child should be drinking all fluids, including milk, out of a cup.
